The Armenian genocide is a difficult topic in Turkey. Nationalist narratives deny the violent crime, and examining the ideological continuities between the late Ottoman Empire and modernday Turkey is a highly charged political issue. This short impulse lecture explores some of these developments and their impact on the post-migrant society in Germany, as well as general questions and challenges of global remembrance. <\/p>\n\n
