About the project
The artistic-philosophical research project “Bildpolitik und Ästhetik rechtsextremer Normalisierungen – Ästhetische Interventionen in eine rassistische Normalität” stands for an examination of aesthetics and image politics in the context of right-wing extremist, anti-Semitic and racist violence. The focus is on the gaps and voids in the collective memory of such acts of violence – especially in the urban area of Munich. Furthermore, it is about the conditions that lead to the normalization of acts of violence. Which right-wing extremist, racist and anti-Semitic acts of violence are remembered, how and by whom – and what forms of expression are chosen? What do these forms of expression convey and what do they leave out? And what is considered worthy of remembrance for whom and why?
You can find more information about the sub-project on their page.
